Tails R Waggin Hosts Donation Drive for No More Homeless Pets KC
The Tails R Waggin daycare and boarding facility in Overland Park, KS, will be sponsoring a donation drive for No More Homeless Pets KC starting February 1st, 2010.
LOUISBURG, KS, February 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Tails R Waggin daycare and boarding facility will be sponsoring a donation drive for No More Homeless Pets KC starting February 1st, 2010.
No More Homeless Pets KC is a non-profit animal welfare organization. Their goal is to reduce the number of animals entering area shelters through spay and neuter, humane education, and adoption programs.
"No More Homeless Pets KC has such an important mission that we wanted to find a way to assist in their efforts." says Dawn Johnson, co-owner of Tails R Waggin Doggy Daycare. "We decided to do that" she continues, "through our 1st Annual Paws for a Cause campaign."
The Paws for the Cause campaign will run through the month of February. During this time, customers will be encouraged to drop off items or monetary donations for No More Homeless Pets KC in exchange for discount coupons for daycare and boarding services.
No More Homeless Pets KC also sponsors the FixKC Cat Clinics. These clinics are offered for people who are financially disadvantaged and/or individuals who are dealing with feral or stray cats, or large populations of cats.
"Being involved with pet rescue efforts, I understand the importance of spaying and neutering pets." said Sharon Woodrum, owner of Personable Pets Dog Training and event co-sponsor. "I also understand that some people simply cannot afford the procedure so I think it is important that we support low cost spay and neuter organizations."
During the Paws for the Cause campaign, customers who bring in donation items or monetary donations of $5 or more will receive a 5% discount coupon for one day of daycare or boarding services. Customers are eligible for 1 coupon per visit/donation with a 3 coupon limit per family. Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at Tails R Waggin Doggy Daycare located at 6976 W 152nd Terrace in Overland Park, Kansas.
